My name is Antje Dijkstra. In daily life I am mother of four sons and a social worker. My great passion is drawing mandalas. At this moment I am trained to be a teacher in drawing at the school of Lisa Borstlap in Zutphen (www.genezendtekenen.nl)

Together with Danka Hüsken I teach courses in the Dominicanen Activity Centre in Huissen, near Arnhem.

I am fond of colours. I am always looking for colours in spools of sewing thread, twists of embroidery silk or sheets of paper in all colours of the rainbow, and especially in colour pencils. While drawing mandalas I always have the feeling that I am putting the rainbow on paper, and that's a wonderful sensation.

I draw mandalas for my own pleasure, but I can also do it for yours. To be able to make a mandala it is not necessary to be skilled in drawing, so I honestly advise you to try it yourself. You can also buy beautiful colouring books, and have a lot of fun colouring in the mandalas (also a lot of fun for children). But, if you want me to draw a mandala for you, I will be happy to do it with love.

The most well-known mandala is the birth mandala, based on a person’s name and date of birth. It also makes a very nice and original gift for a newborn baby. I also draw wedding seals (for wedding anniversaries), life seals (for someone's death) and business mandalas for decorating your enterprise.
